Mission Statement
In response to the rise of misinformation, we are committed to informing the public about the facts behind the news, drawing logical, expert, and science-based conclusions from these facts, and proposing meaningful solutions and strategies to address societal challenges. We will not distort facts to create sensationalized clickbait, offer ideologically driven or biased conclusions, nor promote inflammatory or discriminatory ideologies disguised as solutions. Our goal is to help create a more informed, peaceful, and humane world.
Operating Principles
- We are committed to amplifying fact-based information.
- We believe in the power of clear and open communication.
- We advocate for peaceful, informed dialogue as a means of achieving change.
- We value all peaceful perspectives.
- We believe in the strength of shared community.
- We oppose all forms of racism, including Islamophobia, antisemitism, anti-Palestinian racism, and discrimination against any minority or group based on religion, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
- We reject the conflation of support for Palestinian liberation with antisemitism.
- We recognize that the struggle for Palestinian freedom aligns with global movements for justice, equality, and decolonization, including indigenous land rights, Black liberation, gender and sexual freedom, and the fight for a sustainable planet.
Who we are
We are a group of journalists, professionals, and concerned citizens dedicated to promoting peace, resolving conflicts, upholding justice, and communicating truthfully with the public to empower informed decision-making. Together, we aim to fill the void left by the lack of truthfulness and accountability that currently prevails in many mainstream news and social media outlets.
Path Media Posts Guidelines
All our posts follow the following guidelines:
- Respecting the intelligence of our audience by:
- Not offering clickbait, gossip, or empty mind-numbing contents.
- No reporting about a topic unless we know enough about it.
- No reporting that is based purely on an ideological belief and is detached from facts. Opinions are welcome but they must be related to facts. They can’t be pure fictional theories detached from reality.
- No reporting of states unless we have a reputable reference that is provided in the links attached to the post.
- Hate speech, racism or any form of discrimination:
- We don’t platform any forms of hate speech, racism, or discriminations based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
- Balance:
- We don’t tweak data to reach a pre-determined conclusion.
- We offer a balanced analysis that is not ideologically driven.
- Openness:
- We welcome diverse points of view and opinions with the condition that they are not promoting fictional theories that are detached from reality.
- We believe in free speech and understand that it’s needed the most when we disagree with someone rather than when we agree with them.
- Fairness:
- We condemn wrong actions and crimes, no matter who portraited them.
- We don’t refrain from condemning wrong actions or crimes because of fear of who portraited them or due to an ideology.
- Humility:
- We apologize if we reported faulty new or info and we correct our reporting
- Respecting the sanctity of death:
- We don’t celebrate death even of people who committed reprehensible crimes. We factually report about such death, the crimes they portraited and share our opinions and analysis about them.
- Clarity:
- Our reporting differentiates between news and facts that are baked by rebuttable references, versus the analysis, conclusions and opinions of our anchors and speakers. We don’t confuse the audience by mixing the two.
- Comedy: Our comedy contents ought to be thought provoking in nature.
